Beta Readers

All writers need betas (even if sometimes we don't admit it), someone to catch those niggling little errors, and mistakes. Who'll politely tell us that this part sucks, and "didn't you already blow up that ship??".

Here is a place for those who have volunteered beta read those wonderful S/M (that's Sam/Martouf, FYI) stories, provide helpful hints, and to dot those i's and cross those t's. And rather than just send them the whole 200K masterpiece you just have to have beta'ed by tomorrow morning, it's polite to send an email enquiring about whether they're willing to do your fic. After all, RL, while annoying, does affect all of us.

Comments: I'll read anything. Any pairing (Sam/Martouf is my fave, obviously), any rating, deathfic, whumping, you name it. I'm a technical writer, so I'm pretty good with grammar, typos, sentence structure, etc. I'm also a writer, so I do ok with plot lines and such (my stuff, all Enterprise so far, although I'm now working on a Sam/Martouf, is available at www.mochachill.com if people want to see what I've done). I'm also good at characterization. However, I haven't seen every ep of SG1, so I won't be a real stickler with canon.
